every now and then I have to make the outkeeper’s favorite


chocolate chip

2 sticks of butter
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of white sugar
3 cups of flour
2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 2 tsp. hot water
1/2 tsp. salt


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Soften butter and blend together with brown and white sugar.
Add in eggs and beat.
Add in vanilla and salt.
Add in baking soda dissolved in water.
Add in flour, 1 cup at a time and beat.
Add in chocolate chips.
Spoon on to cook sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are a perfect golden brown.
