French Toast Sticks…just for fun!

french toast sticks

~what you will need…

4 large eggs
4 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
6 slices of thick bread, cut into 1-inch thick strips
2 cups crushed Corn Flakes
Maple syrup, for serving

~what to do…

In a large bowl, whisk together, eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Dip bread strips into the egg mixture, then dredge in the crushed Corn Flakes, pressing to coat add bread strips to a skillet (that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray) and cook until evenly golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
Serve immediately with maple syrup.
